Hi! I'm Michele Heffernan, your family photographer.
My passion for photography started during the era of disposable cameras. I took my first film class in 2006 and enjoyed this art as a hobby until I took the leap and transformed my passion into my career. Ever since I took my first photography class as a young teen in high school, I have continued to pursue as much knowledge and experience as I could possibly absorb to invest into my art. I am now four years into my professional photography career with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
I have lived in many different states and have experienced a lot of beautiful landscapes and cultures. What sets my soul on fire is photographing people in pretty places. I have settled in Louisa, Virginia where my husband & I have laid a foundation for our own family. Looking through photographs of all the different phases of life we have experienced is my favorite thing, so to give you such treasures to do the same with is the most amazing feeling!
How lucky am I that I get to document an engagement of a sweet couple and witness all of the beautiful milestones that take place as they grow together. It is an honor to photograph a family's bond, the love, emotion, and growing relationships that my clients experience, and the delight and innocence of their children.
